One of my favorite bass players is someone you've probably never heard of - Mick Karn. Incredible, unique fretless player, his style being a quirky, funky one with a Middle Eastern tonality which doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard. He's a pretty lousy singer, as you'll notice when you watch this, but jeez, the bass playing...and he plays a Wal, as does yours truly. I remember figuring out how to play this song a few years ago, and it was a lot of fun. Be sure to also check out the great flute solos from Theo Travis (who's also played in Gong in the last few years).
