Second Vermont Republic has ties to White Supremacists

I've always been interested in the Vermont secession group, The Second Vermont Republic. The idea of leaving a partnership that includes such enlightened places such as Alabama has always been a rather inviting one. They've made some substantial inroads into bridging a gap between the lefty-left crowd and the libertarian right. But something's not right. Although I'm kinda shocked that it's been under the radar for so long, SVR has some serious ties to figures in the white supremacist movement. There's a LOT to this story, so instead of giving you dribbles and drabs. just check out the full story over at Green Mtn. Daily, it's a bombshell.

Lefty-left, of course, being another term for "Liberatarian Left". It doesn't surprise me a bit to find these folks climbing into bed with each other (however unwitingly).

Oh well...I hope SVR lets us have the Green Mountain Boys Flag back instead of retaining it so that it can be associated exclusively with racism, like some other flags i could mention.

On another note...nice sparring with "endofrange" on the McLaughry post. Very funny.

Yeah, I think these guys are toast, and rightfully so. I am interested in hearing from the lefties in the upper eschelon of SVR.. was it willful ignorance, or did some of them really not have a clue?

Endofrange.. yeah, try as I might, I can't seem to stop fighting with the trolls. This one's not a particularly bright one, so it's not too hard.

Oh what the hell? Fighting with the trolls keeps you limber.

According to a recent breezy Burlington Free Press article about Second Vermont Republic Founder Thomas Naylor, on March 4 they're holding "a mock funeral to commemorate the day, in 1791, Vermont joined the union". And good news for metro Montpelier residents: It's at Langdon Street Cafe.

John, I predict you're gonna be soooo all over that!

This is far from over, Nato.. Stay tuned.

wait a tick! Vermonters are talking sucession? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I can't think of a more fruitless cause then this.. Your Net GNP would be in the Hundreds of Dollars (or what ever your monetary unit would be). You can't base an economy on micro brews, weed (try as I might) maple syrup and civil liberties.

John.. I think you just jumped the shark!
